BUILDING TRUST WITH YOUR LEADERS
Hey there, Nick from Summit!
We know team dynamics can sometimes feel like juggling flaming swords while blindfolded. But don’t worry — we’ve been there, and we’ve got a few tips to help you build trust, foster some serious leadership street cred, and create an impactful culture that makes everyone go, “Wow, they really know what they’re doing!”
1. Talk like you mean it
And we don’t mean texting your team in emojis (unless that’s your thing — then, by all means). Open, honest communication is like garlic in cooking — it makes everything better. Share your concerns, ideas, and maybe even your playlist if you’re feeling bold. Trust us, talking regularly shows you actually care.
2. Be reliable (aka don’t ghost them)
One of our favorite sayings around here: “Integrity is as Integrity does.” Translation: Do what you say you’ll do. Whether it’s meeting deadlines or making coffee (arguably the most important job), consistency is the magic sauce that builds credibility faster than a viral TikTok.
3. Respect — cue Aretha Franklin
Pro tip: Respect is a two-way street, just like downtown traffic, but without the honking. Treat your leaders like partners in this wild adventure of goal-smashing. Acknowledge their experience and authority, and before you know it, you’ll be in sync like a boy band in the ’90s.
4. Ask for feedback (even if it stings a little)
Want to show you’re here for the long haul? Ask for feedback. Not the kind where you’re fishing for compliments — actual input that helps you grow. It shows you’re humble, and let’s face it, everyone loves a good glow-up.
Now go out there and crush it. You’ve got this!
Best,
